Installation of natural stone would usually be carried out on a mortar bed and pointed. Yorkstone and sandstone slabs are usually laid in a random pattern often using different sized stone, or if preferred in a checker board fashion. Granite setts for example can be laid in a bond or a concentric circle pattern if you prefer – the choice is yours!
